ORDERING

An order can be edited up until the time it is finalized.  Should your order need any changes, notify us immediately and be sure to include your order number.  Status Updates are by e-mail and sent out automatically whenever order changes are made.  This Status Update e-mail is the customer's confirmation that the change has been made.  Changes or cancellations are only confirmed if customer receives confirmation by Status Update e-mail or other means from Attic Trunk.

Incomplete orders, such as those waiting for an address correction, missing address or alternate address to be added to a card account, will be held 30 days after which the order is cancelled and you will need to re-order.

Processing time, from the time your order is received until it ships, is about 1-2 business days and may be longer around special days and holidays.  The day your order is received is not a processing day. Delivery time depends upon the type of shipping service you specify and your location.  If we cannot ship using your shipping choice, we will ship using the next most similar method.  Carriers do not count the day an order ships as a shipping day.  Carrier's shipping transit time starts the day after the carrier receives the order/package and this is standard across all carriers.  Carriers may not guarantee delivery times.  Check with the carrier you select.  We have provided links to all our carriers below.

United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. troops, Canada and U.S. territories can order on-line.

WHOLESALE PRICING and DISCOUNTS

What this means: $6.85, 6/$39.24, 12/$74.76, 24/$143.04, 48/$266.40, 96/$505.92

When ordering from Attic Trunk, you are always ordering "per product" (each) unless stated otherwise.  As shown above, the $6.85 indicates that you pay $6.85 each for a quantity of 1-5.  If you order 6-11, you pay a wholesale price, i.e., $39.24 divided by 6, or $6.54 each.  If you order 15, your price is $74.76 divided by 12, or $6.23 each.
In your shopping cart you will see $6.23 x 15 = $93.45.

If you wish to order a full case of a product, you must order a large enough quantity to fill the case, i.e., if a case is 24 per case, you need to order 24.  There is no extra charge for display cases, just remember, for a full display case you must order enough product to fill it up.  Drop down boxes allow you to select box type, display type, color, size, etc.; options that cost extra will say "(+2.00), (+5.00), (+30.00)" on that option line.

Our wholesale pricing is adjusted so more people can take advantage of the discounts as you do not have to order huge amounts of an item to get a price break.  We have NO membership fees or other nonsense. You only need to meet the first wholesale ordering quantity to receive additional price discounting on a particular product.
It is important to us that purchasing wholesale products is quick and easy.  For some products, where indicated, you may have to contact us for wholesale pricing.  When you order in quantity, our website will instantly give you the wholesale price.  The Attic Trunk shopping cart will automatically compute wholesale discounts.  This wholesale price will be shown in the shopping cart as the "each" price.

PRICE MATCHING
If you find a product at a lesser price at another on-line merchant and would rather order from us, identify the product and the web address in the comments box when you order.  We will discount your order to match the competitor's price.  There are limitations to price matching.  Product must be the same product and openly available to the public from the competitor.  A competitor with a minimum order greater than ours will not be price-matched unless order meets competitors minimum order amount.  Our current pricing is on our website; we do not match outdated pricing on websites that run advertising for us.

Price matching is at Attic Trunk's discretion.  We want your business, so we will do what we can, within reason, to price-match products.  Attic Trunk orders directly from manufacturers to give you the best prices possible.  Most products we sell are already greatly discounted.

TAX EXEMPT
Applies only if you are located in Illinois.  We need your tax-exempt certificate, with identification number, on file, to make your order tax exempt.  During the ordering process, at the bottom of the "Payment Page", you can enter your tax exempt ID.  Upon order completion, our website will generate an Order / Invoice Number.  Put that number on your tax exempt ID certificate.  Your certificate can be e-mailed to us (if you have it in PDF format), or faxed to us at 877-537-1819.  Tax ID certificates may also be mailed to us at the address at the top of this page.

SHIPPING

Our website will do it's best to accurately estimate your shipping cost when you place an order, but this is only an estimate.  At time of order placement, the estimated shipping cost will be based on shipping one box from one location.  The shipping estimator cannot compute shipping cost for products added to an order from drop-down boxes, shipping from multiple locations, shipping multiple boxes, dimensional weight upcharges, delivery zones or total cost of packing materials.  Estimated shipping cost will be adjusted, up or down, to the actual shipping cost.  Shipping weights on items are approximates only.  Orders shipping in multiple boxes, and/or from multiple locations, will be billed shipping charges for all shipped.  By placing an order, customer agrees that a shipping increase of up to $20.00 is authorized.  Attic Trunk does not notify customers of cost increases for less than $20.00.

Attic Trunk uses estimated shipping costs, rather than a flat rate, because the website offers such a large variety of merchandise; some items are heavy, some light, and some very delicate, each requiring specialized packaging.  Shipping cost either includes, or can be affected by: delivery speed, weight, dimensional weight (box dimensions), packing supplies required, delivery zone, residential or business delivery, fuel charges, insurance, multiple shipping locations.  UPS charges $5.00 per address correction on shipments.  If UPS has to correct your shipping address, customer agrees to pay $5.00 per address correction.  Address correction fee will billed by Attic Trunk.

An "Over Maximum Limits" charge, determined by the carrier, can apply to any packages that exceed the carrier’s size limits or when dimensional weight exceeds package weight.  This may occur on odd shaped products, certain fountains and computer cases.  Light bulbs require a lot of cushioning and often ship in medium to large boxes.  Upgraded shipment services provided by carriers may add additional cost to shipment(s) such as up-charge for dimensional weight.  Largest cost increases are usually on orders with upgraded shipping that must ship in a box larger than approximately 8" x 8" x 7".

Processing time, from the time your order is received until it ships, is about 1-2 business days and may be longer around special days and holidays.  The day your order is received is not a processing day. Most products ship from the midwest, "AT" product codes ship from the west, chemicals ship from the east coast. No jewelry orders will be shipped using USPS Ground for insurance reasons.

For orders weighing over 150 pounds, website cannot calculate shipping.  Shipping charges will be added manually to your order and will show on your Status Update e-mail.

When you get to the Payment Form, if you have any questions or a need by date, please put a note in the "Comments" box when you order.  Attic Trunk does not guarantee delivery dates.

Tracking Numbers
Orders are updated with tracking numbers within 24 hours of confirmed shipment.  If your tracking number shows "in transit" or "billing information" and nothing else, that would mean it is enroute to the carrier's nearest hub.  When the hub checks it in, the carrier's computers will show the new status.

Confirmation E-mail / Status Updates
A confirmation e-mail is sent out as soon as an order is submitted.  Status updates are automatically

Attic Trunk and its manufacturers reserve the right to update model designs, or substitute models or colors, whenever these changes represent an equal or better value for our customers.  It is not the responsibility of Attic Trunk to notify customers of product substitutions or changes as manufacturers do not notify Attic Trunk of product design changes or substitutions.  Attic Trunk is not responsible or liable for any inconvenience, damages, shipping charges, or anything else related to product(s) that failed to meet expectations.

DEFECTIVES
Most defective products are handled directly by manufacturers.  Manufacturer determines product warranty durations and what will, or will not, be covered by warranty.  Some products may be warranteed for only days, while other products have a year or more.  Depending on the product, the warranty may be handled by the manufacturer directly or sometimes by Attic Trunk.  Customer agrees to bear all shipping charges and all risk of loss for the returned product and understands Attic Trunk does not reimburse for shipping costs to or from the customer on defective items being returned.  Customer agrees that all returned products will be 100% complete, and will include the original packaging material, manuals, blank warranty cards, and other accessories provided by the manufacturer.  If any component of the returned defective product is missing, Attic Trunk's Defective Exchange Procedure will be breached and Attic Trunk will reject the entire defective item or may choose to impose additional charges against the customer for replacement of the missing component(s).

Defectives handled by Attic Trunk require an Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number prior to defective return.  Defectives can only be replaced with the same product and not refunded or credited.  If a product you receive is defective, e-mail us immediately with your order number (found on the e-mail status update) and a detailed explanation of the defect, prior to sending anything back.

Attic Trunk does test products claimed to be defective for quality control purposes.  Sending back products as defective when they are not, voids the defective exchange.  Fountain and pond pumps are water cooled thus running them without water will burn up the motor which is not a defect.  Improperly handled halogen bulbs will blister and burn out prematurely, also not a defect.

Defective exchanges can only be shipped back in a corrugated box with a tracking number and insurance. Shipping anything back in an envelope via USPS voids the defective exchange as the USPS machines will damage or destroy the envelope if it is not totally flat.  Defective exchanges that have not followed this procedure will not be processed.

Should any issuing bank disputes occur, customer agrees to pay $20.00 per dispute case, which will be billed via same method to the customer.

SHIPPING DAMAGE AND LOST PACKAGES
For lost packages, the customer should call the carrier.  The carrier may have notes the driver made, such as: behind bush, inside storm door, etc.  For any kind of shipping damage or lost package, it is up the customer to notify Attic Trunk.  Re-ordering is the fastest way to get a replacement, however, we recommend waiting for the determination from the carrier before re-ordering.  If re-ordered and the carrier delivers first shipment late, you will be billed for all shipments, which are not returnable.

Shipping damage and lost package insurance coverage varies from carrier to carrier.  Some carriers have very limited reimbursement, such as 10 cents on the pound and may not reimburse complete freight shipping cost. Attic Trunk is not responsible for reimbursement of any costs related to shipping damage, freight damage, lost packages.  Nothing will be credited or re-shipped to customer until carrier completes investigation of damaged or lost package.  Should any issuing bank disputes occur, customer agrees to pay $20.00 per issuing bank dispute case, which will be billed via same method.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL
All sales are final, no returns, no exchanges, no refused shipments.  Any return charges from refused shipments will be billed back to customer.  Should any issuing bank disputes occur, customer agrees to pay $20.00 per issuing bank dispute case, which will be billed via same method.  Opening an issuing bank dispute case voids all previous offers made by Attic Trunk to resolve the problem.

KID SAFETY
Attic Trunk is a "kid safe" site, which means we restrict all adult banners from displaying and have no links to adult sites.  Our links are maintained manually, so we can monitor sites to which we are linked.  We try to avoid links from Attic Trunk to sites that use pop-ups or anything considered not "kid safe".  Attic Trunk is not responsible for content of other sites, or pop-ups from other sites, to which you can transfer from Attic Trunk (either by a link or banner).

Attic Trunk uses Internet Content Rating Association®, "ICRA".  All of Attic Trunk is "safe for kids."  If you have a newer browser version, ICRA settings are adjustable to stop your browser from going to adult sites at the rating level you select (it may be called "content advisor" in your browser).  The ICRA ratings, our web site informs your browser of our rating.  For more information on either one, click it's icon at the top of the page.

Attic Trunk uses the most sophisticated level of security. All orders and payment information will be encrypted (scrambled) using industry standards.  In addition, all Attic Trunk servers and computers are protected by advanced firewall technology.  This encrypted and secure data is routed to Attic Trunk, decrypted and processed. An order confirmation e-mail is sent to the customer.  Attic Trunk's security (SSL API) guarantees that the orders and payment information generated by the web server remains totally secure.  All transactions done with Attic Trunk are processed in "real time" to keep your information secure.  Your credit card numbers and personal information are encrypted (scrambled) making it nearly impossible to capture them as they travel over the web. Experts in security believe your credit card information is much more at risk when you give your credit card to a waitress who takes it into a back room to swipe on the restaurant's machine.

Is Yahoo! Shopping Secure?
If you are not the kind of person who worries about being hit by lightning as you are crossing the street, you probably do not have to worry that your credit card number will be intercepted on the way to a secure web site. According to CNN, "The prevalent opinion...is that on-line credit card use is actually no riskier for consumers than traditional "low-tech" transactions."
