This exceptional line of black tubing is recommended for use in water gardening as it is practically invisible underwater.  Sunlight will not penetrate it, so algae growth inside is inhibited.  Constructed of flexible, plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC).  Non-toxic, fish safe.  Use for fountains, ponds, air conditioning and refrigeration condensation drain, condensation pump discharge line, humidifier overflow and many more industrial and domestic uses.  Temperature range +25F to +150F.

What length and tubing thickness is for my application?
1/16" wall thickness is quite flexible, good for fountains.  1/8" wall thickness is considerably stiffer although still flexible, better suited for ponds, buried longer pond runs.  Length of tubing needed is recommended on most our pump descriptions to make this easy.  The required head (water lift) measurement is closest to the length of tubing needed; for a fountain this is the bowl bottom to highest point water flows over measurement.  Ordering tubing same length as maximum head stated on pump would be incorrect, because there is no water flow at maximum head, always the tubing length needed will be less than maximum head measurement.
